PDF Merger

Combine several PDF files into one document without installing software or uploading anything. Add your PDFs, put them in the right order by dragging them or using the arrow buttons, name the output file, and download a single merged PDF. Text, images, and page layouts are copied as they are, and everything runs in your browser, so contracts, invoices, and other private documents never leave your device. No signup and no watermark.

Operational Workflow

Follow these standard protocols to process your files safely.

1

Click the upload area or drag and drop your PDF files. You can select several files at once and add more later.

2

Check the list. Each file shows its page count and size. Drag files or use the arrow buttons to put them in the order you want, and remove any you do not need.

3

Type a name for the merged file if you do not want the default.

4

Click Merge & download. The tool combines the files on your device and saves the merged PDF.

5

To start another merge, click Clear all and add a new set of files.

Technical Deep-Dive

PDFs tend to pile up in pieces. A contract arrives with separate exhibits and signature pages, a report is exported one chapter at a time, and every invoice is its own file. Sending them as a dozen attachments leaves the reader guessing at the order, while merging them with desktop software is slow and merging them on an upload-based website is a privacy risk. EaseBowl's PDF Merger combines them into one file directly in your browser. How it works. Add your PDFs and each one appears in a list with its page count and file size. Put them in the order you want by dragging them, or by using the up and down arrow buttons, which also work on touchscreens and with a keyboard. Remove any file with the X button, add more at any time, and choose a name for the output file. When you click Merge & download, the tool copies the pages of each file, in order, into a new PDF using the open-source pdf-lib library, and your browser saves the result. What is kept. Pages are copied rather than redrawn or re-compressed, so text stays selectable and searchable, fonts and images are unchanged, and scanned PDFs keep their original image quality. Each page keeps its own size and orientation, so you can combine A4, US Letter, portrait, and landscape pages in one document. Links to web addresses keep working. What may not carry over. Merging is a page-level operation, so some document-level features of the source files are not carried into the merged PDF. Bookmarks (the outline in a reader's sidebar) are not kept, document properties such as title and author are not copied, and interactive form fields may stop being fillable. Links that jump between pages inside a single source document may also stop working. If your PDFs depend on these features, check the merged file before you share it, and fill in or flatten forms before merging. Password-protected PDFs. Encrypted PDFs cannot be merged because their pages cannot be read without unlocking them. If you add one, the tool tells you which file was rejected so you can remove the protection in a PDF reader and add it again. Privacy. Your PDFs are read into your browser's memory and merged on your device. They are not uploaded to EaseBowl's servers, which matters for contracts, HR records, financial statements, medical documents, and other confidential files. EaseBowl records basic usage statistics, such as how often a tool is used, but not your files or their contents. Closing the tab discards everything. Limits. EaseBowl does not set a cap on the number of files or their size. The practical limit is your device's memory. Merging a few hundred pages is usually quick on a modern laptop or phone, while very large sets, such as thousands of pages or several hundred megabytes, can be slow or fail on low-memory devices. If that happens, merge in smaller groups and then merge the results. Common uses. People merge signed contracts with their addenda, monthly invoices into one file for accounting, thesis chapters and appendices for a university submission, scanned receipts for expense reports, and tax or travel documents so everything is in one place.
