Select up to 20 images at once, pick your output format, adjust the quality, and convert them all in one click. Each converted image shows the before and after file size so you can see exactly how much space you saved. Download images individually or all together as a ZIP file. Everything happens in your browser.

Zero Upload Protocol
WASM Accelerated

Your images are converted in your browser and never uploaded.

Operational Workflow

Follow these standard protocols to process your files safely.

1

Click the upload area or drag and drop your images into it. You can select up to 20 at once.

2

Choose your output format: JPG for universal compatibility, PNG for lossless quality and transparency, or WebP for the smallest file size.

3

If you chose JPG or WebP, adjust the quality slider. 88% is a good default; go lower for smaller files, higher for maximum quality.

4

Click 'Convert images'. Each image is processed in turn and a tick appears when it's done.

5

Download images individually using the Save button next to each one, or click 'Download all' to get a single ZIP file.

Technical Deep-Dive

Image format conversion is one of those tasks that comes up constantly and should be effortless. A designer receives a PNG but the client's website only accepts JPG. A developer needs WebP versions of a product photo library for faster page loads. A photographer wants to share photos as JPGs rather than the RAW or PNG files that came off the camera. A blogger is trying to reduce page weight before uploading images to their CMS. In every case, the goal is the same: get from the file you have to the file you need, quickly and without the image getting worse in the process. Most online converters turn a ten-second task into a two-minute chore. You upload one image at a time, wait for a server to process it, get redirected to a download page, then start again for the next image. Some add watermarks. Some strip metadata with no warning. Some send your images to servers in jurisdictions you know nothing about and keep them for purposes that are vague at best. EaseBowl's Image Converter eliminates all of that. The conversion happens inside your browser using the Canvas API. Your images never leave your device. The formats supported cover the three you actually encounter day to day. JPG — properly spelled JPEG — is the universal format for photographs, the one accepted by every platform, CMS, email client, and social network without exception. Its lossy compression is excellent at moderate quality settings, making it the right choice when compatibility matters more than pixel-perfect accuracy or transparency. PNG is the lossless format for graphics, screenshots, logos, and images that contain text. Its compression is larger than JPG for photographic content, but it preserves every pixel exactly and it supports transparency — which JPEG cannot do at all. WebP is Google's modern format that gives you roughly the same perceived quality as JPG at about 25 to 35 percent smaller file sizes, with the added bonus of supporting both lossy and lossless modes and full transparency. Chrome, Firefox, and Edge all support WebP natively; Safari has supported it since 2020. If you're optimising images for a website, WebP is almost always the right choice. The quality slider matters more than most people realise. For JPG and WebP, quality settings between 75 and 90 produce files that look identical to the original at a fraction of the size. The default of 88 is a good starting point. Settings below 70 start to introduce visible compression artefacts in photographs — blocky patterns in smooth gradients, ringing around high-contrast edges. Settings above 95 produce almost no visible improvement over 90 but significantly increase file size. The before and after sizes shown for each image make it easy to dial in the right balance. Batch processing is where the tool saves the most time. Upload your entire folder of images at once, set the format and quality once, and convert them all. The images are processed sequentially with a live progress indicator so you can see what's happening. When they're done, a single ZIP download button collects them all. File names are preserved, only the extension changes, and duplicate names are automatically handled by appending a number. The privacy model is architectural rather than policy-based. The Canvas API runs entirely in your browser process. There is no upload step because there is no server receiving your images. There is no third-party dependency, no CDN, no cloud function. The images exist in your browser's memory while they are being processed and are deleted when you close or reset the tool. You can verify this by opening your browser's network inspector — you will see zero image uploads during conversion.

Key Features

  • Convert between JPG, PNG and WebP — the three formats that matter for the web and everyday use.
  • Batch conversion: upload up to 20 images at once and convert them all with one click.
  • Quality slider for JPG and WebP: dial in the right balance between file size and visual quality.
  • Before and after file sizes shown for each image so you can see exactly how much you saved or how much larger the output is.
  • Per-image download buttons and a single ZIP download for all converted images.
  • WebP support detection: the WebP option is only shown when your browser supports WebP encoding, so it always works.
  • Correct handling of EXIF rotation — portrait photos taken on phones display upright in the converted output.
  • JPG conversion fills transparent areas with white, so PNG files with transparency convert correctly.
  • Browser-based processing: your images are never uploaded to a server.
  • No watermarks, no registration, no file size limits imposed by the tool.
